Children's Dentistry
Why does your child need a dentist?
It's important to bring your child to see the dentist once every six months. Their six month checkup appointment allows us to examine their teeth and provide them with a dental cleaning. The cleaning gets rid of buildup on the teeth as well as check the health of their gums. The exam checks for signs of cavities and other problems that might get worse if left untreated.
What does Children's Dentistry involve?
We provide a range of important procedures that are geared to improving and maintaining the health of your child's smile. Your child will establish themselves in our office with an exam and cleaning. From there, we can create a personalized treatment plan specific to them if additional work is needed. Some of the more common procedures we offer for children include:
- Dental exams
- Professional cleanings
- Fluoride treatment
- Sealants
- Fillings
- Extractions
- Root canals
- Crowns
What can your child expect during a typical dental appointment?
Your child's first appointment with us involves a comprehensive examination performed by our doctor and a dental cleaning. Both the exam and cleaning help us check for signs of cavities and other problems in their mouth. If additional treatment is needed, we can schedule an appointment for your child to come back in and have the work done. Our goal is to provide your family with a comfortable, professional dental office that you can trust. We work with children of all ages and take a kid-friendly approach to providing them the care that they need.

Fluoride Treatment
Fluoride is a natural mineral found in water, soil, and some foods. It is widely used in dental care products, such as toothpaste, mouthwash, and dental treatments, to prevent tooth decay and strengthen tooth enamel. Fluoride works by remineralizing the tooth enamel, making it more resistant to acid attacks that can cause cavities.
